Like shaeves of corn love gathers you unto himself. He threshes you to make you naked. He sifts you to free you from your husks. He grinds you to whiteness. He kneads you until you are pliant; And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may become sacred bread for God’s sacred feast.”
I stupidly just logged onto ninemsn to read the voices of people claiming how they and their families are not sorry. Oh I wish for just one day I could have not read that and basked in the glory that was today and the apology. Lucky I had many of your blogs to read and that made me feel beeter. I have to join you guys in expressing that I am sorry too. I was down at Federation Square with 100’s of others this morning and the mood was filled with joy and the the touch of poignant sadness that it needed. I cried my eyes out and it felt so good. I just want to say thank you Kevin Rudd for giving us a government to be proud of and thank you Australia for pushing the notion and thank you God that we could witness what we did today. I feel fantastic about it. P.S Jem I had not heard ruddy marvelous, how gorgeous and funny.
Today I went out to Bendigo, which is in country Victoria. It is great to get a feel for Australia, more than just NSW. Although one country town is a bit like another country town for an outsider. Oh I just realised that sounds terrible. I should know better being a bit of a Tamworth girl. There is a Seeds community in Bendigo which means the community operates a bit like Urban Seed except it is not so urban so it becomes like a Seeds community instead of an Urban Seed community. Is everyone getting it? I don’t even know if I do and I am too tired to explain. Anyway there are 3 seeds communities besides the one in the city and today we all gathered together as a big group. It was really nice to get a real sense of the fact that Urban Seed is so much more than what we are doing here in the city.
